Posted By Paul Leadbetter I have only checked a small selection but it appears that, as promised, the priced publications are now free to download. Paul

Posted By Paul Leadbetter Alex You need to start at HSE Books: http://books.hse.gov.uk/hse/public/home.jsf and then search as usual. This is their new website but the old one (hsebooks.com) is available until the end of the month, if you prefer. Paul

Posted By mark linton Can anyone tell me how this effects the copyright of the documents - it states that 'no part of this publication [in the copyright for the document) maybe...be stored in a retrieval system....without the prior written permission of the copyright owner' By allowing the documents to be freely avaliable to download does this count towards permission to store the documents electronically? Thanks in advance

Posted By Dave Merchant alan - at the moment that search route only partly works, as it doesn't report titles which have a non-zero price for one printed copy (such as the L series). For example L101 (confined spaces ACoP) is free to download as a PDF, but you have to get there through the page selling the printed copy, not the 'search for free stuff' page. As to copyright, the boilerplate hasn't changed in years so it doesn't apply properly to free downloads. You are allowed to download a copy of the free material, make copies of that PDF file and share them with whomever you want, but you can't sell them nor can you distribute them via your own website, etc..
