Posted By Larry Never seen it before, but it looks like a good piece of kit. Well, definitely a good idea IMO. As a vibration risk assessor I would be interested in how they attach the device and where on the tool. Two very important factors. Also cost and recalibration requirements (inc. cost) would be two questions raised by me during the demo. As a cynic the use of the term "anger time" in lue of "trigger time" made me smile. Also slipping in the letters HSE in the text is a crafty play on references. Might even go for a demo me-sen, any control measure that works is a control measure that works for me. Even grumps like me have to embrace new ideas.

Posted By David Lewis I recently used the services of Power Tool Sales in Portsmouth. They come to you and carry out an assessment of each tool whilst being worked and provide a report based of working times etc. To me this was alot easier and very much cheaper than me hired or buying kit. It worked out about £18 per tool on only 10 tools I think. I'm not associated with them but credit is due when, in my opionion, a good service is offered. D

Posted By SNS We have bought a dozen, issued with 'red' tagged tools to limit trigger time. Simple to use and very good. An active control measure that works well. They don't measure the vibration rating though, you will need that information to enter in to the HAVi. We used '5Sides' of Leicester to do in-house measurements. Relatively inexpensive and efficient. Usual disclaimer, I have no financial or beneficial interest in either company .... Ask them for a demo. Regards, S
