Posted By Andrew Kelleher Hi Just a question with regards the training. I have previously completed the CIEH professional trainers course, and subsequently delivered a number of level 2 courses. I realise that the CIEH is only an introduction to training, and I wish to move forwards in this area. Could anyone suggest a course/qualification that will help to enhance my training skills? Many thanks Andy

Posted By Andy Farrall Hi Andrew, I started with the CIEH course and then went on to do NVQ Level 3 and 4 in Learning & Development. It was a relatively easy path for me to take because at that time I was working in Further Education as an assessor/ instructor in security. A possible route might be to get work with a local FE College as a part time trainer. They might be willing to put you through the new qualifications which are coming in for the FE sector. Hope that helps, Andy

Posted By Terry H Hi, Different training qualifications open different doors, it depends on what direction you want to progress with. I have been a trainer for the CIEH for some time, and you can train out higher qualifications after a certain amount of time. I gained my PGCe/Cert Ed some years ago and this allows me to run courses through my local FE college. I have also just started running the IOSH Managing Safely Course. The PGCE/Cert Ed was a two year part time course.
