We have increasing numbers of a variety of dead insects in deliveries from overseas, this may seem quite petty, but warehouse workers are becoming concerned, I have introduced a glove policy for the unpacking and I am monitoring for any "live" visitors (which is doubtful, as they are shipped in) Apart from what I have done has anyone got any sensible suggestions? has anyone else had similar experiences?

Thanks
Brian

This might be just a nuisance, as in the odd creepy crawly, or something more serious, ie, a venomous insect or a significant crop pest.

Contact the Port Health office at the port through which your import arrive. They will want to know what sort of things you are finding, where the load comes from and what you do with it. From there they can advise, and may demand, one of a range of control measures that will keep you safe(r) and on the right side of the law.
