Does anyone have guidance on what the requirements are for the number of toilets and bathrooms in student accommodation (dormitory type). The building is pre 2000 and I know it comes under BS 6465-1 1994 but I don't have a copy of these, if someone has an electronic copy or guidance on these it would be much appreciated.

The normal requirement is a bathroom and toilet for every 6 occupants.

But the EHO’s do have some discursion on this point.

Any inspection carried out, by your LA, will be under the Housing Act and they will use HHSRS.

I presume you are in England or Wales, If you are in Scotland different rules will apply.
