We are currently organising some training for the use of Cranes-Pendant and Remote controlled overhead cranes.
We have been looking at two courses; one is a two day ITSSAR accredited training course with a practical and theory test at the end. The other is a non accredited one day course which covers mainly the same content except LOLER legislation and not the crane theory or practical tests.
The use of cranes is limited but we feel some training is necessary. The two day course appears to be a bit excessive. Can anyone advise whether the accredited training is essential or would the one day course be deemed to be suitable?
Many thanks for any help.

Hi Chrissie. it depends on level of competence your operators are at if they are complete novice The two day would be necessary but if they are users already you can do the one day training but I would certainly make sure that the trainer is accredited To AITT,ITSAR or or one of the HSE accredited Bodies for this Type training. if want more Info Contact me Off forum E-Mail is live
