Posted By Paul A. Swift I wondered if anyone can help recommend where I can find some material to put together an awareness session on what might happen following an accident. I want to include: 1) The effects on the individual with some real life examples / statements 2) The possibility of a HSE Inspector coming to investigate, the types of questions and information / evidence that they would ask for 3) Include some role playing involving statements being taken under caution, signed statements, evidence taking etc. Any help / pointers would be much appreciated. Regards. Paul

Posted By Raymond Rapp Paul Some while ago I put a one training course together for our front line guys which focused on the aftermath of an accident or incident. Not sure I still have it. However a short bullet list as follows: ensure the area is made safe, treat injured person(s) or arrange emergency service; identify the accident site; ensure evidence is preserved by taking photos, measurements, labelling items and taking interviews; complete a report asap. Following the above, then other matters can be included such as formal interviews, regulator involvement and so on. Ray

Posted By Steve M Granger Paul have you attended the IOSH sessions? Several IOSH branches have used Bond Solon for this - excellent if I say so myself having been on it. Very valuable witness skills training. Where are you - contact the events organisers at Thames Valley Branch Committee I am sure they can help. Soliciting Steve
