According to the new AUG 17, your user name (in theory), should not be permitted.

I am sure the moderators will eventially remove it, however in the meantime you could report it as a concern by hitting the report message button. An opportunity to moderate your own user name!

Arran: The name I have been allocated is not my user name (so far as I understand it). Its just a random selction of numbers after my surname. I have no idea where it came from or what it signifies - or more importantly how I change it to something where I would recognise myself!

Interesting comment on moderation - one of my posts on the old forum was (quite rightly) hidden by the mods for breach of copyright. It's now clearly visible again. Interesting that its now admin who appear to be in breach of copyright rather than me.

Mustn't complain too much though the new site does look better once you get used to it and I'm sure it'll get settled soon enough.

Although there's too much micro font text for my liking - I need to view at largest text size to see forum page numbers or the 'login' button for example. DSE Regs anybody?

I'm sure it'll all get sorted in time.

Oh, so it's random numbers. I'd guessed it was membership numbers. My old moniker seems to have come across unchanged, and obligingly isn't showing up as my email address. I stopped showing my email address here years ago because I had no use for the heavy haulage equipment from Vietnam that a kind gentleman kept emailing me about.... John

I just believe that the sytem for passwords has gbeen overcomplicated by some serious security freaks
