Hi folks, does anyone know of an assessment centre or lab that carries out subjective tests and examinations for the presence of HAVS. I know that the HSL in Buxton does this sort of work but my employee is in Aberdeen so it would be convinient if there was one more local. Just to be clear, I'm not looking for an occupational health check that relies on the employees word, more a check that invilves being wired up, hot / cold etc that is more substantial. Claire, bit more info then,,,,,, done all the assessments, and have a HAVS proceedure. We do occy health. One employee has been diagnosed with HAVS to such an extent that he cannot do his job any longer, ie stonemason. There is some doubt as to the "honesty" the employee has used when answering the questions at his referral to a specialist, and there is some suspision that he may be exaggerating symptoms for whatever reason. It has been recommended that we send this employee to the HSL at Buxton for subjective tests, ie Thermal Aesthesiometry, vibrotactile and possibly cold provocation (although not favoured) as well as being seeen by a Physician. The employee is in North Scotland and I wondered if there was a facility that offered the same service a little nearer to Aberdeen? Any suggestions? Holmezy
