I have been asked to provide a QRA using this software so am looking for help on this

Sorry, not something that I have used and have alsways considered RA to be a 'thought' process that doesn't often, if at all, lend itself to being done by a piece of software.

I always associated @risk with PRA, am not familiar with its QRA application. In realtity, The QRA is based on the outcomer of probability of events all of which can be determined using even the most basic spreadsheet software.

I agree with both comments but unfortuantely the client in UAE has insisted it be undertaken using this software and in mind i cannot see what sense it will make having all these lovely graphs to look at when as you rightly say that you get better information using the traditional methods.
So i am a bit stuck with this request from the client for now

I think you will possible be able to develop a QRA by the processes of FTA, FMEA, HTA & JSA. A combination of some of these should assist you. Just input the information by percentage (should total 100%) and use the fomluea on excel to give you the results

Hi golftonto
Have you tried the process you mentioned above?
I cannot see how getting 100% would achieve a risk analysis of a construction project.
I normally work on a 1- 25 ratio for example 1 - 5 is no risk or very low risk, 6 - 10 is medium risk and 12 - 25 is red and high risk which needs attention which is how i set my table but there is no formula just used this method having ascertained severity over likelihhood and pasted it on excel.
