God Morning all Does anybody have experience of Spondylosis, apparently it is a common complaint in older people, but could it be considered as a WRULD, for the likes of lorry drivers . Flt operators etc, people who have to turn there head frequently All responses appreciated

I don't have any specific experience of this but you might want to try EMAS to see if they have any thoughts on it

Hi I have had this problem for many years and the advice in this link is what I have found to best at resolving the problem although I don't se a difference betwen acute and chronic as all the cases are long term and hence chronic- it never goes away completely but it is manageable with this advice about exercise, posture and medication. As for it being classed as a WRULD remember that this condition is present in most people over the age of 30 - just the amount differs between people and it increases the older a person gets. Constant moving of the neck has not caused me any problems in fact when I used to cover the North of England and was driving 35,000 miles a year I did not notice the condition getting worse. http://www.patient.co.uk...Cervical-Spondylosis.htm Take care John C

Thanks John That appears to be quite clear, as per Shirleys comments, i too have a friend who is out of work because of the condition, but their dosnt appear to be any direct link to it being work related. I would still like to hear any other comments people have on the condition and if any type of work activity has exagerated the complaint Thanks Dec
