I have recently passed the Nebosh general cert (credit) and I also pocess flt licence, pasma, cscs, and clait for computers. I have many years exp in the construction industry both new build and refurbs.
In addition to the above I also hold 706/1,706/2 and a nutrition and hygiene cert in the food industry.I also have many years exp in this industry both in England and around the world.
I would like to hear from anyone with good advice on how to gain employment, shadowing or volunteer work in the H & S sector.
I live in the north west of England ( Wigan ) and have a full driving licence.

Hi
Having read your post I believe the only thing you are missing is the NEBOSH Construction Certificate to gain entry into the construction industry as a health & safety advisor. If you take your construction cert soon less than 5 years after your general you will not need to do the management regs as the general will cover this. It means you will have both manufacturing and construction NEBOSH which will help in your job search. I have been more experience in manufacturing yet find myself in construction. Hope this helps in some way

I’d agree with Alan and go for the Construction Cert. If your not already doing so then try and undertake some H&S work (paid or voluntary) if you can and speak to a couple of reputable agencies that specialise in the field your looking at (construction). Hope it all works out for you.
