I am currently looking at the speed limit on hospital sites, I have a copy of HSG 136, which I am currently using as a starting point but does anyone know if there is any guidance as to what the speed limit should be?

This is me guessing, but if there is any guidance it will almost certainly be in the form of NHS Estates Health Technical Memorandum (HTM). You can find these on the NHS knowledge base if you have access, otherwise ask around. We use HTMs extensively for fire and water hygiene but for our own sites we haven't used external guidance to set speed limits,

My experience of hospital staff would indicate there's no danger of them breaking any speed limits; the porters don't go nearly fast enough to cause the sort of wheel wobble incidents that can occur on trolleys at higher speeds, and those electric battery powered golf cart thingies only go at a brisk walking pace, (although admittedly that's way faster than most of the medical staff), I could see there could be conflict with overtaking issues etc there.
