If possible could someone please send me over an asbestos awareness training video, it is to educate electricians on the need to be vigilant when working on domestic installations.

Much appreciated

Lee,

Would that be part of asbestos awareness training or the sum total?

Not sure a video would be considered sufficient. Well in my opinion anyway. Had a look at some of the ones on that website and they are either very short or American so pick carefully.

If there is a risk of them coming into contact with asbestos then you would have to demonstrate sufficent awareness training including types, locations, diseases, legal requirements, emergency procedures etc. The UKATA set out the content expected for such courses. I have just spent weeks putting a presentation together to ensure that it met all the requirements. If it's worth doing (and it is) then it's worth doing well.

Yes, I’d agree with the last commentary. Videos/DVD’s are only training aids. You need to look at a proper awareness course by a competent person.
