Is the emission of excessive carbon monoxide reportable under RIDDOR as a dangerous incident

Item 21 in Schedule 2: 'The accidental release or escape of any substance in a quantity sufficient to cause the death, major injury or any other damage to the health of any person' So it rather depends on the quantity. If anyone collapsed or required medical treatment I would say 'yes'. If the concentration got to the levels immediately dangerous to life and health (google idlh and look down the table) I would also say 'yes'. If under the WEL, definitely not. Jane
