Hi Folks

A company called Face to Face are doing Advice and Guidence for people that have been made redundant and are registered as unemployed for under 6 months. It is an east yorkshire thing, but perhaps there are other schemes in other areas. I understand that the job centre can refer people or you can refer yourself. Hence a bit of research may cover other areas also.

Funding is allocated in Guided Learning Hours (GLH), (1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks) and if you look at the courses you are interested in and report back, then the advisor can block book a course for a group of people and negotiate the price down.

So IOSH MS people could get their NEBOSH GC FOC, or an NEBOSH person could get their Professional trainer and A1 assessor courses. If you can fit a combination of courses into the GLH catagories then you are more likely to be advising the advisor to your needs as they don't always know the industry inside out. You get the idea?

If you send me your email I can pass the companies information on.

Regards

Linda
