Iroko is a tropical hardwood and is covered by EH40- please see the attached link http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/wis30.pdf you need to ensure that levels of dust are controlled as with any of the tropical hardwoods (all guidance on HSE website - go to Woodworking on the topics pull down menu and look at the dust control heading) as they have the potential to cause nasal cancers - health surveillance is required.

I found the following: http://www.hse.gov.uk/PUBNS/wis30.pdf It is a hardwood, and this HSE publication lists the possible health effects as asthma, dermatitis, nettle rash. This publication also gives advice on control measures. However, this will depend on what the workers are doing, and you did not mention this. There are some research papers in the Google search, such as these: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14582819 http://www3.interscience...ct?CRETRY=1&SRETRY=0 Jane
