Has anyone got a standard letter composed to send to all company vehicle drivers regarding licence checks and current legislation explaining why annual licence checks are required?

Also mobile phone hands free sets are in each vehicle do these need physically checking or will a signed check sheet composed within the letter be sufficient?

Is there a check sheet so I can ensure all points are covered when I send letters out?

Many Thanks

Alan

what do you want to check and go from there as you have cobvered most things in your posting - I do not quote legislation as its me [the employer/the employers rep] who wants to know irrespective of other areas additionally the specifics are not written in detail in law

I would ban 'hands free' as if you are in a driving accident whilst using a phone; hands free or otherwise; the employer is at risk and in all my years I do not know of real cases where the average manager etc is so important that they must have the use of a mobile whilst they are driving! It onlt takes a few mins to stop safely and then address an incoming call!
