I have recently passed the Nebosh general cert (credit)and have just enrolled for the Nebosh fire cert,i also hold pasma ,cscs,flt ,clait,maths and english.
I started in the construction industry at the age of 18. In my time i have driven plant, telehandler, 20 ton 360 degree excavators and dumpers.
I have come into cotact and used all hand tools.
I started on site has a hod carrier,been involved in drainage,plumbing,scaffolding,footings and all other activities on site. I have worked on both new build and refurbs.
I live in the Wigan area and have a full driving licence.
I would like to pursue a career in H&S and would appreciate any good advice that can point me in the right direction to gain a first appointment. Thank you

1) Are you currently in the employ of a contractor? Does your employer have an HSE Officer / Manager? If so, you might want to consider asking them if you could shadow them in order to get a practical understanding of what it all entails.
2) As you have a construction industry back ground, have you considered doing the NEBOSH Construction Safety and Health Certificate?
