Hi all, Does anyone have, or know where I can get, videos suitable for use in a training session which show the destructive effects of fire, methods of heat transfer, and human behaviour? My guys have seen the Bradford fire video too often for me to use that. Any help will be gratefully received! Alex

Alex, try searching for NIST and when you get to their website type in Fire on the web. Loads of videos and short realplayer type films including the Xmas tree fires, fires without and with sprinkler coverage etc.

Try also Holiday Fire Safety on the same website. Better quality vids.

Cheers Simon - hadn't thought of them. Although their selection don't appear entirely suitable for my purposes.

Alex also http://www.community.firevideo.net/ they are world wide - vids mainly from USA but Russian, British etc. While a lot is fire fighters and their training vids, lots of ones where houses, offices and vehicles are on fire. Check out the one from Spain with firefighters on a demo are being attacked by riot police. And fighting back.

Alex, Try your local Fire Brigade. I have built an excellent relationship with mine through various issues and they have loaned me DVD's from their library on a regular basis.
