Hi,

Could anyone point me in the direction of a SI number for crane operations and whether this also includes gantry cranes, would i also be right in thinking it requires 2 personal one to operate the crane and the other to handle the load?

there is a mountain of guidance on cranes, try this "Code of practice for safe use of cranes general BS 7121-1:2006"
Can you be more specific on the type of cranes, or possibly why you need it.

Morning all,

BS 7121 has 14 parts covering most types of crane. The BS 7121 range is the codes of practice part 1 general crane ops safety, part 2 test and examination.

Part one also gives the organisation req as there are more than 2 required but it does depend on the type of lift simple, complex etc.

Drop us a line if you need further clarification.

Yours aye
