I believe the latest statistics for work related fatalities (accidents) are around 180 for 2008/2009 and lost days are around 29 Million.

What are the statistics (roughly) for work related ill health fatalities, particularly from Asbestos?

I have tried navigating the HJSE website to find it but got lost along the way!

Grazie.

Have you checked out the HSE website for The Hidden Killer, you might find some useful info on there? http://www.hse.gov.uk/as...iller/index.htm?eban=asb

The annual number of mesothelioma deaths has increased considerably over the period for which statistics are available, reaching 2156 deaths in 2007, the latest year for which data are available, compared with 153 in 1968.

This is according to the HSE link: http://www.hse.gov.uk/st.../asbfaq.htm#mesothelioma

Not sure if this helps as you were after more recent figures I think.
