Hi, Does anyone know if it's possible to search the old forum postings and if so how; my search button just covers the new website? I've tried e-mailing IOSH no reply as yet and their phone is always on answer machine. Steve

The old forum pages were supposed to be copied over to the new forums - and as there are 1125 pages on this discussion forum, I think they may have managed at least that

Hi, I did find the old forum of immense help whenever a new issue arose - a quick search usually resulted in numerous pointers/ideas/solutions such a wealth of info was available. If it isn't there to search any more perhaps that is why forum use is reported to be down compared with how it used to be. Steve

I think that the forum use is down due to the fact that it is not 'in my opinion' as user friendly as the earlier forum. I also believe that the moderators are to quick to close threads or ot allow the thread to be shown for whatever reason they seem to come up with.

I think that the entire "Old" forum has been carried over, but not the names of the contributer. Also, it seems that the search function on the old threads do not seem to work effectively!

The old forum does seem to be still there back to at least the start of 2008, however something isn't right with the way the search function is working. I've just tried doing a search which I knew would bring up posts from the old forum. I get a "database error" message although actually clicking "OK" to make this go away does bring up the search. Additionaly if you do a search which produces more than one page of results, then every time you click to get the next page of results you get the same error message "a database error occurred". Clicking on "OK" makes this go away and does actually take you to the next page of results, but with a large blank area at the top of the page. As you continue on to the next page and the next page this area seems to get bigger until the text has been pushed so far down the screen that you have to scroll down for it. I sugeest this is one for the WebTem to add to their list of "things that are broken".

We seem to be rapidly approaching the situation where it would be easier/quicker to list what is working correctly on this site
