Rescue plans for working at height Reg 4 WFH

Hi all
Does anybody have any information that may help with the preparation of emergency rescue plans when working at height, eg working with MEWPs,Safety harnesses, netting etc in order to get a potentially injured person safely down.
Some pointers would be appreciated
Many thanks

Try looking at the wahsa website (www.wahsa.org.uk) They produced a guidance document (Technical Guidance Note No5) covering rescue issues. They also produced various other documents regarding use of lanyards, harnesses etc. Hope this helps

All, i have read the GN referred to above and have a query. The GN states that a rescue plan must allow for the person being rescued to be both conscious or unconscious. As the 'Option 1' plan seems to be the preference and given that a line would need to be attached to lower the rescuee - this would require the line to be attached at all times would it not (as an unconscious person wouldn't be able to attach it)? I have not seen a roof worker with a rescue line before. Is this simply overlooked or would i be able to hazard a guess that rescue plans are rarely developed, implemented or even known to be a requirement?
I am interested as i have many arguements with roofing contractors who appear not to have any knowledge of the GN or any other safe practices. The ARC green book is useful also.
