Due to the harsh economic climate felt in construction, I am now reluctantly looking for a new Health and Safety opportunity in the Edinburgh area. I am willing to travel further for the right post. I am CMIOSH with a 2:1 honours degree in Chemistry and NEBOSH Diploma.

I have 3 years experience working as the Health and Safety Manager for a notable construction company, where I have put in place a health and safety management system, facilitating a positive culture change and reducing work days lost due to accidents by half year on year.

The construction company acts as Principal Contractor on projects from £25k to £25m, and also operates a joinery manufacturing business. I have gathered significant CDM, court and manufacturing experience within my current position.

I hope that my construction experience combined with 11 years varied experience of work in petrochemical manufacturing, chemical and microbiological laboratories will enable me to quickly find alternative employment. I have to add that I am a ISO17025 auditor, have managed a ISO14001 system, and in my current role, I am building an in-house quality management system.
