Hi all and thanks in advance for any assistance on this matter. When i was discussing plant equipment to my client the other day he strikes me with what is plant equipment. I and if not all of you on here know what is meant when the word plant is put into the equation. I did explain plant was fuel driven machinery. He then asked me why its called plant??????? This i don't know. Can anyone answer this question on why we refer to JCB's, mini digger's....etc as PLANT Regards

Hi Jason Plant and machinery is the equipment required to operate a business, it is whatever apparatus is used by a businessman for carrying on his business. Check out this web address: http://www.comcare.gov.a..._definition_of_plant_19a Hope it helps. Emsie :)
