I understand from HSG264 that under certain conditions a building may be demolished without removing Chrysotile textured coatings (if not attached to panels that can easiliy be removed).
A demolition contractor has proposed demolishing a structure with textured coatings in tact below concrete stair cases and then crushing debris on site for reuse on site.
I do not like the concept of demolishing a structure containing an acm but believe that it is permissable with chrysotile textured coatings. What I find hard to believe is that it is safe & legal to then crush the material, can any one clarify the position please ? and if possible direct me to something in writing as I am being challenged on this.
