CARRICKMAN

Hi all ,

I am currently receiving lots of these vendor questionnaires and they are asking for copies of my cv. Do I have to supply , and if so why?

Thanks ,

Carrickman

What industry are you in Carrickman? Is there a reason why these companies (for whom presumably your employer is providing a service) would need to know the qualifications of their "competent person" for safety (presumably you?)

For example if you are a construction contractor providing services for a client then they have every reason to ask about your qualifications to manage safety. I don't think this necessarily means your full CV though - simply your competence to perform the services they are seeking to engage. I would simply provide a short summary of your qualifications and experience that demonstrates this competence.

Heather ,
Thanks for your comments - I am in construction and I agree that they should know that I am competent but not to the degree of my full cv. We have 18001 and I feel that the certificate issued by our external auditor should be enough to prove I am , and our system is , competent.
