I am after some advice on how other companies work when their employees work abroad for weeks at a time.

What are your company policies and procedures on visas and the travel insurance side?

Hi
we currently are working in Algeria and Morroco.
The Company gets all visas for the employees and arranges the travel and flights.
As we are marine contractors our Marine insurance covers for full medical, evacuation etc.
We allso have the contact details ofthe nearest private medical facilites for the country the employees are in.
We also insist on internet and telephone facilites for employees if staying in accomodation provided by the Client as well as Cooking and laundry facilities.

Generally we expect our employees to be treated as we would hope to be treated ourselves

Duration of work abroard is approximately 30 days as a go

I hope this helps
