Hi,
I have an interest in becoming a CDM-C, but would like some more information before i make any decisions.
What courses are avilible and whoch providers would you recomend ?
Whats the current job market like for some one with no experince acting as a CDM-C ?
What would be a starting wage with some one with no experince in CDM-C but has construction experince and what could this be expected to rise to in say 4-5 years ?
Thanks in advance

The Assocation for project safety has accredited courses, a visit to their website would help you. As with all careers salaries can vary massively from early 20s for junior/assistant CDM Cs up to 6 figures. Contract rates are between £250 a day and £600. It all depends on the level of experience you have and the complexities of a project. Check out http://www.associationfo...ship/full/becomeamember/There is a useful document which sets out the points criteria you need to become a registered CDM C.

Hi there
You should also register as a CDMC with the Association of Project Safety - check out their website. For a CDMC you need to gain a total of 18 points across a range of different topics. It's not quite as daunting as it seems, they award points for all types of different qualifications and for practical experience etc. Good luck in your quest - but remember this isn't as well paid a field as it was a few years back. Construction has taken a bit of a hammering - pardon the pun!
