hi all.

could anybody offer some pointers please.

I have recently been tasked with setting up a risk assessment strategy for our company.

could anyone offer any guidance please? pointers would be helpful

If you Google "risk management process" (as opposed to 'assessment') you'll find a wealth of resources out there to guide you. The Institute of Risk Management (theirm,org) have very good free pdf on-line with a flowchart included showing the required approach.
You may also want to look at PC software to enable you to keep track of things.
