Hi Safety Folk

I know this is an old chestnut but could do with some up to date advice.

During the last 6 months we have been discussing introducing an Alcohol and Drug testing policy, we are a warehousing and distribution company with FLT's and road vehicles, vans to HGV's. Our thought is not to do random testing but test if there is an incident or we have belief that someone is under the influence based on behavior/smell/information received etc......

I could do with talking to someone who has a similar policy and how it works in practice, our directors are a little edgy about this (hiding something?) but it must be common practice.

Your thoughts would be useful
