Hi all, As our company is getting more and more requests for training matrix and competency programs, it is becoming clear that we need to start developing systems and procedures to integrate this way of working in a more commonplace manner. However as competence, or more specifically competence records are still seen as a bit of an unknown area, i have been asked to look for a consultant to come in and give us guidance on how to implement systems for training development and competence. I am wondering if anyone has ever carrtied out something similar, or knows of any companies that offer consultancy on competence and training, i would be happy to control such a system, but i would be the first to admit that i do not know enough about the system to develop one confidently. This would be in the Aberdeen area, and i would appreciate firms that are more local to Scotland\Northern England simply for ease of travel etc for the person. Thanks all.

Hi richard, I believe there is a company in the Highlands called SPW Management Solutions that offers this type of service you could try giving them a call.

Richard Competency analysiis and design is 'bread and butter' work for chartered occupational psychologists. Those who are also chartered safety and health practitioners should be able to put you right very readily.
