Hi, so many times i tried to apply in the companies working in oil and gas projects but they are always asking if i have experience on this filed. can someone help me to find a job for me in oil ang gas even my HSE experience is more on construction? Thanks in advance to all.

If you do a search on Oil & Gas in the careers forum you will see this topic has come up before.
Working in this field I can sympathise with personnel with HSE experience trying to "get a foot in the door" but it is very much about the offshore experience and in most cases companies will take a lesser qualified H&S person if they have offshore background.
I would suggest that rather than trying to get offshore you consider looking at HSE positions onshore with O&G service companies. You are more likely to be successful applying for onshore positions that may have a small amount of offshore travel or onshore positions that may lead to further development which would consider offshore travel.
It also depends where you are trying to go offshore - if it is North Sea of the UK then it is a very closed environment but if you are willing to travel there is a great deal of opportunity in the Middle East/West Africa, etc.

Hi to you both.
Im very much in the same position, but I have worked offshore in the past, both on supply vessels and on semi subs in the North Sea.
I am currently an H.S.manager ashore but my contract is coming to an end in June. I have recently completed my diploma (nebosh) and have been on the euro survival course.
Unfortunately im hitting a brick wall in trying to get back offshore.....
Any advice would be of great help!!!
Whats the best route fro securing employment offshore abroad???????
