Hi All

Reg 10 of the above talks about using a "temporary continuity bond to the appropriate standard" - does anybody know what the "appropriate standard" is for these temporary continuity bonds.

Thanks in anticipation

Thanks for the reply ITER but i am actually after the "appropriate standard" that the regs make reference to rather than the actual product.

It is recommended that the temporary continuity bond is at least 1.2m long and comprise of a single core insulated flexible cable or equivalent of at least 250v rating. The cable should have a cross sectional area of 10mm multi-strand construction generally in accordance with BS 6004, BS 6007 or BS 6231 with a robust clip / clamp attached at each end .

Extract taken from Corgi essential gas safety fourth Edition.

Hope this is what you are looking for

Hi John

Thankyou - this is more like the info i am after. Do you by any chance know if the Corgi reference you have given is the "appropriate standard" HSE talk about in Reg 10.?

I would imagine that this is the appropriate standard as all information in the Corgi book is in accordance with GSIU regs
