Hi all,

In this current climate i cannot afford to purchase the excellent online databases that well know companies sell. I really want to put in place a good database (access template) to record my accident, near miss, H&S Rep inspections, manager inspections, first aid inspections, hazardous observations, H&S Committee issues, and finally a database for managing training information (refresher dates, etc).

I looking for it be able to log corrective actions and issue via email and be able to run reports on close out and open actions by dept, classifications, etc.

Would anyone be able to help on this? I know its very cheeky and but i only have word/excel spreadsheets and its a real nightmare to manage actions and log actions and non conformances. I came from a company with software packages but my new company is much smaller and resources are tight. I'm useless with access but if i anyone could maybe help with basic outline they maybe have i may be able to get some help to make it specific with the IT dept. I really didn't want to post this as i know its very cheeky to ask for documents and others hard work but i'm really in need for something now! Many thanks if anyone can help me!

Have you looked at some of the latest versions of Access?

It’s a much more user friendly and intuitive than the earlier versions.

I used it extensively for a number of applications ranging from accident recording to the management of radioactive substances.

I was self taught and did not have to many problems in devising the programs

Unfortunately I cant offer any assistance, other than give Access a try, as I am now retired.
