As a reactive maintenance company whereby operatives are generally multiskilled and take on a wide range of maintenance tasks I'd like our ops to be trained and qualified in handling, fitting and transporting glass. Not large sizes just small pieces that would fit in a door or a bedroom window rather than shop front size. Does any body know of any training courses/providers in the Northwest?

Try the Glass and Glazing Federation as a starting point. http://www.ggf.co.uk/default.aspx

Do make sure that the training includes consideration of the appropriate type of glass for the application (i.e. with respect to Building Regulations). You could try your local colleges.
