hello i have been asked to deliver a toolbox talk loosley based on the HSE campaign shattered lives to about 120 construction workers, 6 sessions 20-30 minutes
Has anyone used the construction skills DVD "shattered lives" i am thinking of ordering it (seems reasonable at £55.00)
but dont want to buy it if the subject is not relative to the campaign has anyone got a powerpoint presentation as well I have been putting one together using the HSE site but dont want to go overboard

I think you need to be careful that you are not trying to teach them to suck eggs. I've not seen the dvd you refer to but it might be worth ensuring that it doesn't talk down to construction workers. What about looking at issue/ accidents that have happened on site or any ongoing safety issues. as that would be more relevant to the employees and to improving site safety rather than using the shattered lives campaign which might not be at all relevant to your site or you don't have the safety issue that are covered as part of that campaign.
