We are currently experimenting with using draw hoes for potential use as manual handling aids in our warehouses. I have been asked to establish whether or not anyone supplies a tool specifically for this task but haven't the feintest idea what it would be called.
Any ideas?

Smurf,
You don't exactly mention what the draw hoe is used for doing what?

Dragging boxes out from ground floor locations of shelving /racking.

I cant imagine dragging boxes along the ground from under racking is the best approach. Stooping, streaching and pulling potentially a heavy load is something you want to try eliminate.
Can the boxes be sat on a pallet, so the staff can use a hand pallet truck?

The aisles are too narrow for that and dragging the hoe is a lot better with respect to posture than reaching down and dragging the box directly.

If the garden-variety draw-hoe is working for you, why not stick with that? You can also get garden hoes with a swan-neck which might give better purchase.
Other things to consider might be pole-hooks (such as are used to close windows), useful if the box has a lip or band that can be snagged?
Or you might want to look at Croupier's Rakes?
With a bit of experiment and a few broom handles and a saw you should be able to come up with your ideal solution?

The draw hoe is near perfect for the task but I was asked if there was anything produced specifically for the task. I was thinking of a croupier's rake when I came up with the idea. The only changes I'd make would be to radius the edges of the blade and fit a rubber grip pad on the inside of the blade.
