Hi all I have recently started a new post and I have been assessing our files and system for the past 10 weeks, with a view to improve practices and systems. After a recent DSEAR audit was carried out one of the reccomendations, rather than going through a ssow for every item, was to include a question/point after the walkround induction for new starts that they understood the working practices and materials used that had been explained to them about working in the metal shop. This was because most engineering shops have varying methods of work and some new starts may not have been familiar with them in their new workplace. I was surprised to find that this was the only induction carried out and that no documentation was filed regarding the new starts induction, outwith the standard, where the toilets canteen etc were. Could anyone possibly direct me to a web page /link that provides more in depth induction templates or even better induction templates for an engineering/metal shop? cheers A
