It's an absolute disgrace...the length of time it has taken for the inquest. The CPs announced in 2005 that there were no realistic prospect of a conviction for any individual or company of manslaughter. So why did it take another 5 years for the inquest? Following this the HSE announced that they wait until the result of the Coroner's verdict before brining any h&s charges. It appears to everyone has been sitting on the fence. Did not see in the article what the inquest verdict was either.

Looks like the Jury were directed to answer specific questions, and that the Coroner will write a report on the outcomes. see page 8 of this link: http://pottersbarinquest...07/100730-Transcript.pdf The inquest proceedings have been very interesting to follow from a H&S perspective; all the transcripts are online at the http://pottersbarinquest.independent.gov.uk/ website.
