Can anyone help with a MS that I am compiling for lashing large pieces of fabricated metal onto a barge? I have started it but feel that I am missing something as it is quite short!!

If the barge will experience sea conditions, it's normal in my experience to actually weld the items in place, as the inertia forces are high and lashings will tend the stretch. Of course, provision for this has to be made in the design, as the parts with temporary welds have to be burned off when the voyage is complete.
