We have a top floor department that has Chrysotile ceiling tiles above a suspended ceiling, the rain has been leaking in badly over the past few months and we have tried to patch the roof up to no avail.....
Can anyone tell me if there are any safety concerns with regards to chrysotile when it gets wet and water dripping into the office area?

My PI Insurance will not allow me to comment on asbestos but what I will say is you need to repair the roof, properly, to prevent a collapse of the wet tiles onto the suspended ceiling that could potentially bring down the whole blinking lot.
The water drip into the office is another potential hazard - I'm sure you are aware of all that entails.

Thanks Chris,
I am fully aware of it all, roof under repairs as we speak...

it is foreseeable that the water could cause run off of asbestos fibres down into the office where the fibres then dry out thereafter we may have asbestos fibres all over the place
Some thoughts:
*Once the roof is adequately repaired we could wait a period until the asbestos is dry and they cover the asbestos with a bonding agent so as fibres will be trapped
*We could strip the asbestos out as part of the repair job
