Hi, I am currently looking for work offshore as a Safety Officer/Advisor offshore. I have over 20 years offshore supervisory experience in numerous roles mostly involving Deck Crews/Lifting Operations. At present I am a Deck Supervisor Crane Operator.I am a Qualified A1 Assessor for Deck operations SVQ level 2 and hold my Nebosh certificate. I have completed all my SMTD qualifications ,and have been previously been a safety rep for many years. II am finding it hard to get a safety officer position as I would need some training or mentor to help start me off (don't we all). Most positions ask for ??? years experience but unfortunately this is my downfall!! If anyone has any information on who might offer such positions I would be intrested to hear from you Thanks in Advance Roy
