Hi Guys I keep wondering what is the best way forward for us Newbies. Would it be easier to get your foot on the ladder by specialising in a particular sector or being a generalist. At the moment I keep applying for jobs in different sectors as a generalist and I seem not to get anywhere with it. Is it because I do not have experience in that particular sector? Any feedback will be well appreciated. Kofi

You have to play to your skills; a lot of H&S specialists were specialists in that field already. eg bio-chemists becoming H&S specialists in that field
