Hi All
I'm hoping some one can help me with my question.
I am due to go for a job interview with my local council working for the local Resilience Unit (formally known as Emergency Planning Unit)
I really didn't expect to be chosen for an interview as I have no experience in this field apart from a health & safety aspect (risk assessments, contingency planning etc)
I have been asked to present a 10 minute presentation on the following question:
"What are the current challanges facing Local Authority Resilience Units, and how will my knowledge and experience help my local council address them"
Is there any one who can help me with this question or where I can go to find out what the current challanges are?
I would be extremely grateful if any one can help me.
Kind Regards
Safeangel x

An interesting one! I have no experience either, but a quick go on Google brought this up:

Lots of public access stuff there. It seems to me that the most likely threat to them is (lack of) finance and resources and therefore the accurate assessment and quantification of risk, coupled with appropriate level of response is the key thing.
Over-reaction is as bad as under-reaction. This incident was of great concern:

This needs someone who can either find out or know someone who can find out for them, answers to difficult questions.
