I am preparing CDM 2007 awareness training presentation for the architects to aware them that CDM is serious business and they can be prosecuted if not complied with. To make this presentation more interesting I am looking for any recent persecutions or fines against architects to use as an example. Any help finding this information will be appreciated. Thanks Shoaib

Shoaib; good to highlight a negative in terms of prosecutions. Lots of prosecutions of architects’ on HSE website, use the filter service. However, having done numerous lectures and seminar to designers and architects you should look to giving them practical advice and support rather that just stick (carrot should be included). Look at design issues that have worked and others in which it could have been adopted, others where it failed and the consequences. Try and show all the benefits of designing-in safety which will assist all parties, including the end user. Good Look.
