Does anyone know when Lord Young of Graffham is due to issue his report? Number 10 said this would be 'in the summer' and as we are now nearing the end of August, I would expect that to be soon! http://www.number10.gov....th-and-safety-laws-51726

It should be out soon. It will be intersting to see what he comes up with. I think this compensation culture is as a big of a myth as the daily mail H&S witch hunt stories are. The scary thing is though he seems to have based his reveiw on myth

He didn't say WHICH summer.....! If I had put forward a commitment to any senior management board, I'd expect at least to have to work to a specific target date. Perhaps the announcement said more about Lord Young and the Government by what it didn't include than what it did. It reminds me of all that jumping through hoops which went on after Mr Prescott's "revitalising" paper even though it was obvious from the outset this was published to bolster the forthcoming election and lacked any commitment to anything that had not already been achieved. What became of that one? .. and before that Mr Hesseltine's "burdens on business" review? And here's the HSE and IOSH already jumping through hoops before its even published... if it ever is.
