Hi, Is there any one who can give solid guidence on the types of health surveillance required in CV paint shop. I have read various hse guidence documents which recommend annual lung fucntion and urine testing. Are there any others?

How about noise? Usually you will need annual audiometric testing. Also vibration and annual examination for HAVS symptoms. The urine test will be for isocyanates presumably?

I think that the following should be considered: Exposure to isocyanates - yes it would be a urine test Lung functions for other solvents Skin inspections - many fillers are skin sensitisers Vibration monitoring as it is more than likely vibrating hand tools will be used Hearing as already stated General health questionnaire Our Occ health company that comes to us specialises in MVR but also looks at a tractor company and other CV. PM me if you want their details. Does the HSE MVR guidance help any - not sure of the number?
