This is hilarious (not). Some workers blow their colleague up in an airbag stunt. What were they thinking and how can they still be laughing when it's clear that it's all gone so wrong (poor bloke)?? I assume the contents of the bottles isn't Tizer which may explain their ludicrous actions http://www.noob.us/humor/airbag-explosion-prank/

I’m all for a bit of fun, but that is just dangerous. I wonder how they would have reacted if he was unconscious, injured or worse?

The guy saw them setting up the airbag so knew what was going to happen dangerous but the victim was just as much to blame for being so naive. Although saying that in my younger days when i first started work we had a very annoying apprentice on our section and after a while someone had enough of him so grabbed him and chucked him in one of those industrial waste bins. he kept getting out so someone then added a G clamp. He still kept mouthing off so someone added lifted slings to mix and before you knew it he was swinging from the overhead crane. It was very funny at the time and even funny now, but very stupid and dangerous of course. He wasn't so mouthy after that. Phil

Messyshaw, I'd like to suggest that it all went according to plan and the fall guy knew what was going on. Reminds me of the videos that were circulating about a year or so ago of idiots using slings and excavators to improvise a roundabout. I thought it was pretty funny, to be honest. It was fairly obvious that they'd done it before and this time they had the absence of mind to record it. However, the poor guy got up with appearing to be broken, so ... no harm done? Needless to say I'd be the first one to stamp out such behaviour on any of my sites. I'll need to watch out for my guys carrying spare tyres and airbags around ... and definately not sit down where they suggest I should! A

Did something similar years ago with the aid of a crane, a harness and a cheeky apprentice who thought he knew it all and regularly played a practical joke on us. We got him to wear the new harness for demonstration purposes but clipped the lanyard to the crane block. Watching him dangle about 10ft in the air whilst squealing was the funniest thing and we didn't let him down for about 5 minutes, even though one or two wanted to leave him there all dinner break. Years later whilst on a harness course, i discovered suspenion trauma. Our tomfoolery could have killed the young un if we had left him for a half hour.
